Barking dog is driving me nuts?

Okay, Ive had a lot of rescue dogs but this one has me stumped. I cant stop her barking. She barks at everything & nothing, but only when shes in the yard. She stops as soon as we go outside. We ignored her completely for 6 weeks, that didnt work & the neighbours complained. Its not boredom barking & I’ve been paying attention but there is no specific trigger to this. Ive tried shouting, hitting her with the newspaper, an ultrasonic collar & a remote control spray collar. Nothing worked & Im at my wits end.

Ok had this problem before, get a spray bottle fill with water and then about a teaspoon of listereen and each time the dog barks spray, dogs despise listereen and will stop at the spray.

Don’t leave her in the yard. Only take her out to do her business and whenever she goes in the yard, play with her have her chase balls, do whatever and then bring her inside, it’ll cut down on the barking.

Next you try an electric collar…

After that you consider whether you can find a home for her where her barking won’t be an issue…

    or you debark her.

Debarking is often a last resort option for people who have dogs that were not able to be trained not to bark. While it certainly is not a first step… it can make the difference between a dog living… or being euthanized because noone can live with it.

The dog doesn’t know its been debarked… what it does know is that it no longer is being yelled at, hit, sprayed with noxious stuff…. and it can bark to its wee heart’s content.

I’ve been where you are… tried everything… and when the next thing to happen was the city confiscating the dog, I de-barked… and wished I’d done it sooner. Now, I’m hypersensitive about barking and none of my dogs bark much… and I haven’t done it since.

How to stop barking dogs!

Hey this is John, above is my 2 year old border collie. I built this site to help others who are struggling with dog behavioural problems.

Up to a few months a go Sammy had a few behaviour type problems and barked a lot. To the point where my neighbours were complaining regularly.

I have searched high and low for the answer, I tried out lots of different methods, including remote static and vibration colars, citronella colars and various other products, with no real success.

Well there is a way......

I eventually found my way and Sammy and me have worked through our problems. Sammy no longer barks, we are both much happier and no more complains from my neighbours !!

I wish I new back then what I know now! To find out more about how I did it click here.
