Barking Dog Problem ? The Top 3 Ways to Quickly Solve Excessive Dog Barking

When it comes to solving barking dog problem, I typically use 3 very practical methods. I don’t go for crazy get-deep-into-your-pet’s-mind training technique. Such technique is often preached by so-called “dog training gurus”.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer practical and workable training methods that are proven to WORK.

You want to place a stop to that headache inducing barking dog problem? Then go right ahead and use the 3 methods that I’ve outlined below.

You need to use them now as I’m sure your neighbors’ complaints are piling up quick!

Training Method #1

When your dog barks excessively, do not yell at him. Upon hearing loud barks, most people would instinctively yell at their dogs. Such action will not solve barking dog problem!

Want to know why?

Because it gives your dog the thought that you’re barking along with him!

So never yell or shout, otherwise your dog would reckon that “hey, the master is making noise too. He’s barking along! Fantastic! Now, I’m going to keep doing this!”

Training Method #2

Basic obedience training is a must. The earlier your train your dog in understanding basic obedience commands, the simpler it will be to solve excessive dog barking.

Once your dog fully understands those basic commands like ‘shush’ or ‘silent’, all you have to do is say those words, and your dog will clamp his mouth shut  - provided there are no outside influences that are causing him to bark excessively such as the presence of an unknown visitor, other animals etc.

Training Method #3

Dogs with poor socialization skills are more incline to commit this behavior.  They often bark at people and other dogs/animals for no apparent reason.

If your dog has this sort of issue, then you need to work on improving his socialization skills quickly. Here’s an effective way to accomplish this.

Improve Socialization Adaptability – Primary Method.

Ensure that you take your dog for some walks in the park as often as possible – no matter how busy you’re. Do this at least 5 times a week.

If you’re too swamped with work, then hire other people to do it for you. You can do it on the weekends and do make sure that your dog meets other dogs as well.

For the first several sessions, allow your dog to view other people and their dogs from a reasonable distance, and then take your dog closer to them in a bit-by-bit fashion.

Barking dog problem can be solved a lot quicker using the above methods so do take action and remain consistent at all times.

How to stop barking dogs!

Hey this is John, above is my 2 year old border collie. I built this site to help others who are struggling with dog behavioural problems.

Up to a few months a go Sammy had a few behaviour type problems and barked a lot. To the point where my neighbours were complaining regularly.

I have searched high and low for the answer, I tried out lots of different methods, including remote static and vibration colars, citronella colars and various other products, with no real success.

Well there is a way......

I eventually found my way and Sammy and me have worked through our problems. Sammy no longer barks, we are both much happier and no more complains from my neighbours !!

I wish I new back then what I know now! To find out more about how I did it click here.
