I reckon your dog does this because its attracted to you and it might reckon ur ganna leave him/her forever….remember dogs get attracted to ppl very quickly

its either you place it in the house once you ride your bike or it still barks?
get a coller that when ever the dog barks it sends a shock to it and it stops barking because it knows that once it barks that it knows whats coming.

Buy you a basket that hangs off the handle bars.
And place your dog in it and give her a ride.

She barks because she links your being on a bike with something else… perhaps each time when you ride a bike, you are away for a long time… perhaps she had some sort of terrible experience either on the bike or around the bike… you will have to figure out the cause first.. if it was that she ever got hurt by a bike, then you probably want to keep the bike out of her sight… if she’s worried of separation, then give her something to distract her attention for a few minutes by the time you leave, i normally place some treats in a toy so it will take her a couple minutes to get them… that should help…

May be she doesn’t like a bike. May be her mother or anyone else was run over by a bike, or may be she wants you to stay with her.

Most often, barking results from boredom, dread, or frustration.
If you don’t hear him do it, but you hear about it from neighbors, it’s likely your dog barks out of boredom when you’re not around. In small, he enjoys barking–it’s a way to occupy himself when he’s left alone.

How to stop barking dogs!

Hey this is John, above is my 2 year old border collie. I built this site to help others who are struggling with dog behavioural problems.

Up to a few months a go Sammy had a few behaviour type problems and barked a lot. To the point where my neighbours were complaining regularly.

I have searched high and low for the answer, I tried out lots of different methods, including remote static and vibration colars, citronella colars and various other products, with no real success.

Well there is a way......

I eventually found my way and Sammy and me have worked through our problems. Sammy no longer barks, we are both much happier and no more complains from my neighbours !!

I wish I new back then what I know now! To find out more about how I did it click here.
