How to make two noisy neighbor dogs stop barking without calling the police?
I don’t want to call out the law, and the owner’s aren’t home. The dogs are really annoying, and they won’t stop barking.

Hey this is John, above is my 2 year old border collie. I built this site to help others who are struggling with dog behavioural problems.
Up to a few months a go Sammy had a few behaviour type problems and barked a lot. To the point where my neighbours were complaining regularly.
I have searched high and low for the answer, I tried out lots of different methods, including remote static and vibration colars, citronella colars and various other products, with no real success.
Well there is a way......
I eventually found my way and Sammy and me have worked through our problems. Sammy no longer barks, we are both much happier and no more complains from my neighbours !!

you buy the owner a shock collar but dont give him the remote whenever he bothers you just zap him
u can’t do anything really. you could call ur neighbors and tell them that their barking dogs r bothering u. There is small they can do. dogs r animals and u can’t really control how and when a dog barks except maybe if you train it not to bark. but alerting ur neighbors about the prolem would probably bet hte best thing here.
Talk to your neighbors when they are home. Otherwise, they might not know how much they bark when they are away. If they do not wish to do anything about it phone your By-Law department they will get a warning then the next time a fine. Your call should be kept discreet from the officers.
Is this new? Maybe they are barking for a real reason, burglary?
If you learn a way let me know, my neighbors dogs are always barking, especially when I am in my own yard.

Well my neighboors had the same problem as you, with my family. They simply left us a nice and polite letter on our door step. My mom finished up feeling so terrible, we starting keeping our huge dog in the house. Which we would’ve never done. Problem solved
I once questioned a neighbor to take her dog inside when she was not home because it barked all day long. She said she would, but she did not.
So I called the police and they went and talked with her about it. She kept her dog inside after that.
Well when this happened to me i used to give the dog food and talk to her. Eventually the neighbors just gave me the dog. Her name was Lacy but i called her Barkey. She just needed some attention and of course food!
Here we have phone numbers through our Human Society for animals. They have all types of number to call. Animal abuse, injured animals etc.
One is Animal Noise Control to call if animals are too loud. Try to look something up in your local yellow pages. If you do find one and complain? Tell them its not just you, but the rest of the neighbors as well. Usually this can be confidentially without the dog owners knowing.

Feed them peanut butter!
I know this sounds silly but try it. You can’t get Skippy or name brand. You need to get the cheapo really really dry stuff. Has less oil in it. You have to give them a lot but if you give them enough and you have the right brand, it will last maybe four or five hours.
Ofcourse what is amusing is now the dogs that once despised me are always pleased to see me because I feed them. I go through a lot of peanut butter in a week but its simple to go to the wholesale club and buy the huge institutional sized off-brand. it works the best and you can use a lot of it with fewer trips to get more in another week.
Feed the dogs. This will stop them for a few hours.
Some people who own animals just don’t care about them. This is really not honest to the animals, who in a lot of cases are mistreated.
