If you keep it in the house, chances are, it won’t bark at night..
But if you leave the poor baby outside at night, it will bark because it’s lonely…
let it sleep in the room with you, it should only bark when it has to go out and potty.
what about sleeping in the garage?
Theres always a reason why dogs bark. It could be because their sad, hungry thisrty, bathroom etc. First things, make shure your dog has had plenty of food, water, exercize, anda trip to the bathroom before going to bed. If it still barks it might still want to play and stuff. What has worked best for me in the past is ignoring it. It might bark for the first few nights but it will gradually stop. Youll need a excellent schedule of when to go to bed so it knows what time to go to bed. Ive had a chihuahua before, and it barked for the first few nights, but then it stopped when it learned its bed time. Chihuahuas or any dogs for that matter are wonderful pets when trained properly and hope things go well for you.

Exercise the dog a excellent bit before bed time. It might be barking out of boredom and excessive energy.
Also, how many times are you going to question this question?
Bach’s Flower Remedy
It works fantastic!!!
It is supposed to relieve the dog of stress, which is why he is probably barking, and cool him down.
I used it on my cat when I went and he calmed down within the first couple of days.
You can find it at most health food stores… it works wonders.
Believe me… I swear by it.
Hope I helped
You cannot seperate both- thats why they are dog.
OK Pomeranian’s are a very timid breed first of all but if they are raised right they usually do not bark alot unless they want attention and about at night not really as long as they are taken out before bed on the other hand i do not know about chihuahua’s but they are small and if you keep it inside it should not bark that much…
Yesterday you questioned a question, saying your dad would let you have a dog, but you had to keep it out on the balcony, in the garage, or in the backyard.
He’s right- if you make the dog sleep in any of these places, it’s going to yap it’s fool head off. A dog that small isn’t an outside dog- it is a companion/lap dog who thrives on being part of the family. Leave it outside and it’s going to become lonely, frightened and frustrated.
The way to keep it silent at night, is to treat a companion dog as a companion, and let it sleep indoors with the family. What is your dad worried the dog will do- give you all the bubonic plague? It’s just a dog, in your house. Keep the dog clean, your house will stay clean. Very simple. If your dad is unwilling to let you properly care for a toy breed dog by keeping it as a house pet, the DOG is better off in someone else’s home. Sorry, but it’s the truth.
Just as human language is multifaceted and multipurpose, barking allows a dog to communicate many different messages in a variety of situations. It can signal a request to an owner (“Hey, I want to go outside!”), impart a warning (“You’re in my territory!”), or simply serve to amuse when a dog has small else to do.
An instinctive canine behavior, a bark now and then reminds you that your dog is still very much a dog. But, constant barking can be disruptive, if not downright nerve-racking. Fortunately, there are ways to prevent or curb problem barking.
Here’s a treatment for this http://dogtime.com/barking.html
You have to place them away from a source that would make them bark. Some nights, when it’s fantastic weather, I leave them outside, but if the coyotes are howling, they bark. I bring them in and no more barking.
So if you bring the dog home, and I have 6 chihuahua by the way, she will probably be OK, until she hears something she needs to bark at. Make sure you have shown her around, so she will know in her mind what is normal and what she needs to alert you about. Just close her up in the bathroom or somewhere where she can’t hear whatever it is that is causing her to bark.
You don’t want to punish her for barking as this is a natural action for her and you do want her to bark to alert you if there is a problem
